Eat Smarter, Move Freely, Live Stronger: Tailored Coaching for Your Mind, Body & Nutritional Needs.

Craig Skidmore

I’m Coach Craig, and my mission is simple: to help you feel stronger, move better, and live pain-free. Specializing in functional living through nutrition-based training, physical fitness, and personal development, I create personalized programs that go beyond aesthetics—they’re designed to build a body that works for you in real life.

My journey in fitness began with competitive swimming and coaching, later evolving into a passion for endurance sports like triathlons and trail running. But true strength isn’t just about endurance—it’s about balance. That’s why I incorporate weight training and functional movement to help individuals not only perform better but move through life with confidence and resilience.

I know firsthand the struggles that come with pain, injury, and the challenges of rebuilding strength. In 2020, I suffered a severe back injury—years of improper movement led to a 13mm disc herniation at my L5 S1 vertebrae, which compressed my sciatic nerve and locked up my entire lower body. It was a battle that tested me physically and mentally, but it also paved the way for my deep dive into functional movement and pain therapy. I didn’t just recover—I rebuilt myself from the ground up, and now I’m here to help others do the same.

Beyond physical fitness, my personal experiences with loss and grief have given me a unique perspective, In March of 2022, I lost my sister. After the passing of our mother a decade earlier, she struggled with depression, weight, and mental health challenges that, truthfully, I didn’t address as seriously as I should have. Losing her made me realize that true health is about showing up for yourself and the people you love, every single day. That’s why I do what I do: to help others build strength in both body and mind, so they never feel alone in their journey. I believe that true coaching isn’t just about sets and reps—it’s about understanding where you are, meeting you there, and guiding you forward.

My Wife & I welcomed our first child to the World on December 29, 2024, since that moment I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to be a new parent—the sleepless nights, the mental juggling act, the exhaustion, and the overwhelming joy that catches you off guard. It’s messy, beautiful, and challenging all at once. Finding time for yourself feels impossible some days, and “balance” can seem like a myth. But I’ve learned that even small moments—moving your body, stepping outside, or carving out a few minutes just for you—can make a huge difference. I’m not here to tell you it’s easy because I know it’s not. I’m right there with you, figuring it out one day at a time.

Whether you're overcoming an injury, looking to enhance your athletic performance, or simply want to feel stronger and healthier in your everyday life, I’m here to help you build a foundation that lasts. Because at the end of the day, we are stronger together.
My Approach
My approach is rooted in the belief that true health isn’t just about what you eat or how much you lift—it’s about how you live. It’s a holistic, ground-up philosophy that blends whole food nutrition, functional movement, and mental well-being to create lasting change. Whether you’re looking to build personal strength, nourish your body, or feel more at home in your own skin, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans because no two people—or families—are the same. Life isn’t always meal-prepped and perfectly scheduled. There will be nights out filled with foods you didn’t plan for, wine you maybe should have skipped, and late hours when you should’ve been asleep—and that’s okay. Relationships and experiences are two of the most important parts of life. It’s not about cutting them out; it’s about finding balance. One indulgent meal won’t derail your progress, but letting it snowball into five will. The key is managing your days so those moments don’t compound.

I focus on what works for you by staying current with the latest research while keeping things practical and sustainable. Some areas I incorporate into my coaching include:

-
Balanced Nutrition, Not Fads: Whether it’s exploring high-protein approaches, sustainable eating habits, or gut health, we’ll focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods that fuel your body and mind.
-
Mind-Body Connection: Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. I help you understand how nutrition and movement can support your mood, energy, and overall resilience.
-
Functional Fitness: It’s not about chasing aesthetics—it’s about building strength that serves you in real life. We’ll work on mobility, stability, and functional movements to help you move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free.
-
Personalized Strategies: Your goals, your lifestyle, your journey. I tailor every plan to fit you—whether that means incorporating intermittent fasting, plant-based options, or performance-based training.
-
Sustainability Over Perfection: Life is busy, messy, and unpredictable. That’s why I focus on creating habits that are flexible and realistic, so you can stay consistent even when life throws curveballs.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about hitting milestones—it’s about feeling empowered, confident, and strong in every aspect of your life. Let’s build a foundation of health that supports you now and for years to come.
